McArts Amphitheatre - Terror of the Tug
Terror of the Tug, written by Jean Battlo, is an outdoor drama based on the coal mine wars and the story of the murder of Sid Hatfield and Ed Chambers on the steps of the McDowell County Courthouse. Dates showing in 2008: July 25-26 and August 1-2. Shows begin at 8pm at the McArts Amphitheatre located off Rt 52 in Welch.

The Room Upstairs at The RiffRaff Arts Collective
The Room Upstairs, within The RiffRaff Arts Collective, is a turn of the century ballroom turned small theatre. Comfortable couches make for a relaxing way to experience music concerts, dance performances, theatrical presentations and workshops. Open Stage Night takes place the first Monday of every month and features regular RiffRaff performers like Option 22, Kathleen Coffee and The Captain Lazerblast band, plus an open stage for all styles of music, poetry and dance.
