Hi! Do you know what your children may be interested in doing? What area are you looking in? There are several haunted houses, haunted trails (a co-worker took her Middle and High school kids to the one at Little Beaver and said it was fun!) and ghost walks. Some of the ghost walks ( http://www.visitwv.com/vacation/ second blog post down) are based more on history and can be educational.

Also Burning Rock is doing moonlight zip lining that they say is a blast (and very adventurous!)

I took my daughter who is a bit younger to one of the pumpkin farms with a corn maze and it was fun – alot of them offer this option at night – which would definitely make it way more intriguing – we did circles in the day time!

Hello – We are a regional office that covers the southern part of WV – we get very little event information on the Charleston area in our office. I did try a search but was unable to find any haunted houses in that area (even though I’m sure there are some!). The Charleston area does have a local Convention and Visitors Bureau – I would suggest contacting them at 1.800.733.5469 – I’m sure they can assist you.

Yes Jessica, They will be opening on October 22 and the guided walking tours will go through October 31st. Tours start at dusk. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. For more information you can call 304-487-1819.
