Stellar Evening at The Greenbrier
December 4, 2009The ninth annual Stellar Eveing will be held at The Greenbrier on Friday, December 4th.
Enjoy a spectacular evening at America's Resort and help the Greenbrier Historical Society. It will be a splendid evening with cocktails, a lavish dinner perpared by The Greenbrier, brilliant holiday decorations and seasonal music.

Annual Appalachian Coal Town Christmas & Light Festival
December 4, 2009 - December 5, 2009Experience three days packed with the sights, sounds, fragrances and flavors of an Appalachian Coal Town Christmas. Hosted by the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine and Youth Museum of Southern WV. Lighted tours continue on Fri/Sat nights through December.
Festival includes: Lights and decorations, Theatre WV and community church groups, Arts, Crafts and food vendors, Horse and Buggy rides 6-8pm Fri-Sat, a marshmellow roast and appearances of Santa Claus, Underground mine tours, and festive tour of homestead.
At the Youth Museum in the main gallery, local musician Andrew Caldwell will supply the evening with traditional music and we encourage visitors to sing along (song books provided). There will also be a craft area set up where children can make-n-take their very own Christmas ornament. Hot cider and cookies will be served.
From 5 - 9 PM. Underground and Homestead Tours are $10 per adult and $8.50 for children. Additional underground light tours available following two weekends - price $5 per person.
Finding Home

Join us for an evening filled with traditional, as well as seasonal and holiday inspired melodies.
