Nicholas County Events

Whitewater rafting season begins April 1 and runs through Fall. Whether you are looking for a float trip, a family adventure or an adrenaline packed whitewater run - Southern West Virginia's rivers have a trip for you.

Approximately 12 singing groups are booked in advance. Each group will sing two rotations of 30 minutes.

Located 2 miles E of intersection of US-19 and WV-129, south of Summersville, WV.

Campground available for tent, trailer or motor home, modern restrooms and showers, limited electrical service, dump stations and water available, handicap friendly, pets on leash.

No charge for sings, however donations are accepted.

Sponsored by the American Whitewater Association, the festival honors the sport of Whitewater Rafting. Activities include: live entertainment, vendors, food and much more. Upper Gauley Race held on Monday.

Sponsored by Kirkwood Winery, the 20th annual festival holds fun for everyone. Activities include wine tasting, craft shows, vineyard tours, grape stomping competitions and live music throughout the weekend.
