Cowboy Junkies perform at Carnegie Hall

The Toronto quartet have made a career out of its soft-focus sound. Their mix of blues, country, folk, rock and jazz have earned them both critical attention and a cult following. With ambient walls of guitar provided by Michael Timmins, the eerie harmonica accompaniment of Jeff Bird, longtime bassist Alan Anton, and Margo Timmins' hushed, contemplative voice, the group's alt-folk draws inspiration from Hank Williams, Lightnin' Hopkins and The Velvet Underground.
