Country Roads Festival
September 18-19, 2010. Held at Hawks Nest State Park, Ansted, WV. Enjoy a gem in fall festivals! Arts, crafts, food and music.
Bridge Day

October 16, 2010. Largest one day festival in West Virginia. Spectacular views, BASE Jumpers, and vendors offering food and crafts.
Bluefield Downtown Street Fair
July 29-30, 2011. Free lemonade, crafts, flea market, downhill derby, entertainment, auction and much more.
Hometown Mountain Heritage Festival
c/o New River Gorge CVB. June 18-20, 2010. Celebrate in true West Virginia fashion! Arts, crafts, food and music. A ton of old-fashioned fun for all ages. Festival held in Ansted, WV.
Mercer County Fair
August 5-6, 2011. Official fair of Mercer County. Live music, rodeo, tractor pull, vendors, good food, exhibits and more!
Blue-Gray Shrine Horse Show
July 21-23, 2011. 43rd Annual Show - Riders from all over the east coast compete for the coveted blue ribbons.
Grape Stomping Wine Festival
September 18-19 2010. 20th Annual Grape Stomping Festival at Kirkwood Winery off US 19 on Phillips Run Rd. Third Saturday and Sunday in September - 10 am to 6 pm. Grape eating and grape stomping competitions.
Annual Appalachian String Band Festival
August 4-8, 2010. 21st Annual five-day mountaintop gathering of string band musicians and fans from around the world. Concerts, contests, square dances, workshops and family activities. Rustic camping available.
Appalachian Coal Town Christmas and Light Festival
December 3-4, 2010. Light displays underground in what once as an operational coal mine. Tours continue weekends through December. Festival hosted by the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine and Youth Museum of Southern WV.
Country Craft Guild Fall Show
30th Annual Arts & Crafts Show. Unique gifts, fall and holiday decorations. Held at the Bluefield Area Arts Center. October (Date to be Determined)
Stoco Communities Reunion
July 31, 2010. Annual gathering for all current and former residents of Coal City and surrounding communities. Reunion is held at the Old Stoco High School Building in Coal City. Free food and free entertainment.
Lemonade Days in South Bluefield
August 12-13, 2011. All day fun! Food crafts, music, lemonade and more. Bring the family.
Southern WV Italian Festival
October 1-2, 2010 in the Bluefield Auditorium. Dinner-Dance. Baked goods, good food, crafts and entertainment.
Mountain Festival
c/o Bluefield Chamber of Commerce. Held every Memorial Day Weekend. Entertainment, fireworks, crafts and more. Fun for the entire family.
Celebrate Princeton
June 11, 2011. Entertainment, dog show, good food, craft vendors and more. Fun for the entire family.
West Virginia State Water Festival
July 26- August 1, 2010. This week-long state festival showcases historical water and frontier activities. Street fair, parades, fishing tournament, car show, coronation of Queen Mermaid, street dances, bateau boats and rubber ducky race. Downtown Hinton and the Rivers.
Historic Downtown Lewisburg Festivals

Lewisburg offers an exciting variety of festivals throughout the year: First Fridays After Five (First Friday of every month), Taste of our Town (October), Holiday Open House, Chocolate Festival (April) and the Battle of Lewisburg (May).
Ronceverte River Festival
Held the 2nd weekend in June at Ronceverte Island Park. Entertainment is free all three nights at the amphitheater and the Rubber Ducky race is Saturday afternoon.
Bramwell Oktoberfest
October 9, 2010. The Bramwell Oktoberfest is known for its excellent live musical entertainment, with traditional folk, bluegrass, blues and alternative artists performing throughout the day. Beer competition.
Hinton Railroad Days & New River Train Excursions
October 16, 17, 23 and 24, 2010. c/o Railroad Museum. An exciting festival held in Hinton's National Historic District. Coincides with peak fall foliage in the Gorge. Crafts, quilts, food, fun and entertainment. 9am to 5pm each day. For New River Train Excursion tickets: 866-639-7487.
Pocahontas NRHS Model Train Show
November 13-14, 2010. Complete show for all railroad enthusiasts. Family event. Bluefield Youth Center.
Friends of Coal Auto Fair
July 16-18, 2010. Join us at the spacious grounds of the YMCA Youth Sports Complex in the mountains of West Virginia for the 2009 Friends of Coal Auto Fair - one of the state's fastest growing car shows. Featuring a Saturday Night Concert.
Festival of the Rivers
September 4-5, 2010. c/o Flannigan-Murrell House Inc. This annual event showcases international, regional and local musicians including homemade instruments. Bluegrass, gospel, folk, rock and R&B musical performances. Located at Hinton City Sidetrack Park and Waterslide. Saturday & Sunday, Labor Day weekend. Free to public.
Holiday of Lights Display
40 plus acre light display - Thanksgiving evening through the first full week in January. Special events vary year to year.
CultureFest 2010
September 9-12, 2010. Multi-cultural celebration of music, art, ethnic foods and dance. Camping and workshops.
John Henry Days Festival
July 9-11, 2010. Celebrating the legend of the Steel Drivin' Man. This festival includes three days of crafts, music, a parade, car show and many other fun activities. Located in Talcott, WV.
October Sky Fall Festival
October 2, 2010. "October Sky" author, Homer Hickam & Rocket boys will attend festival. Autographs and book signings, entertainment, food, hayride, games and more. All WV authors invited to attend. Model rocket launching throughout the day! See scenic southern West Virginia at its fall spendor.
State Fair of West Virginia
