July 30 - August 5, 2012. This week-long state festival showcases historical water and frontier activities. Street fair, parades, fishing tournament, car show, coronation of Queen Mermaid, street dances, bateau boats and rubber ducky race. Downtown Hinton and the Rivers.
July 30st - August 3, 2014. 24th Annual five-day mountaintop gathering of string band musicians and fans from around the world. Concerts, contests, square dances, workshops and family activities. Rustic camping available.
August 30- 31, 2014. c/o Flannigan-Murrell House Inc. This annual event showcases international, regional and local musicians including homemade instruments. Bluegrass, gospel, folk, rock and R&B musical performances. Located at Hinton City Sidetrack Park and Waterslide. Saturday & Sunday, Labor Day weekend. Free to public.
Carnegie Hall 2013 performances: In February, Ben Williams and his quintet, Sound Effect take the stage. March brings country music star Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives to the Hall for the first time. April means chocolate in Lewisburg, and Dance Brazil will make it hard to keep the chocolate from melting during the Chocolate Festival. Later in the month, the award winning Montclaire String Quartet, resident quartet of the WV Symphony Orchestra, will cool things down with their soothing classical works. The season closes out with the darlings of the 2010 Newport Folk Festival, the David Wax Museum, fusing traditional Mexican folk with American roots and indie rock to create a unique Mexo-Americana aesthetic.
September 4-7, 2014. Multi-cultural celebration of music, art, ethnic foods and dance. Camping and workshops.
Held the 2nd weekend in June at Ronceverte Island Park. Entertainment is free all three nights at the amphitheater and the Rubber Ducky race is Saturday afternoon.
August 22-24, 2014. Festival features annual Arts and Crafts Fair, A Taste of Appalachia, Hillbilly Breakfast along with various activities held at area attractions. Visit website for details and schedule.

Lewisburg offers an exciting variety of festivals throughout the year: First Fridays After Five (First Friday of every month), Taste of our Town (October), Holiday Open House, Chocolate Festival (April) and the Battle of Lewisburg (May).
October 4, 2014. "October Sky" author, Homer Hickam & Rocket boys will attend festival. Autographs and book signings, entertainment, food, hayride, games and more. All WV authors invited to attend. Model rocket launching throughout the day! See scenic southern West Virginia at its fall spendor.
August 3-4, 2013 A weekend of outdoor competition held in historic Fayetteville. Saturday is 28.5 miles of one of the most extreme whitewater, mountain biking and running on the East Coast. Sunday brings family fun to the historic town of Thurmond with the Thurmond Triathlon, a family friendly beginner triathlon.

Carnegie Hall's festival fundraiser, Taste of Our Town (T.O.O.T.), held the second Saturday of October from 11am to 3pm. Sample delicacies from local restaurants, civic clubs and organizations in the historic streets of Lewisburg.
July 11-13, 2014. Celebrating the legend of the Steel Drivin' Man. This festival includes three days of crafts, free music, a parade, car show, water events and many other fun activities. Located in Talcott, WV at the John Henry Memorial Park.
August 1-2, 2014. Official fair of Mercer County. Live music, rodeo, tractor pull, vendors, good food, exhibits and more!
October 19, 2013. Every third Saturday in October the New River Gorge Bridge closes to traffic and opens for the largest one day festival in West Virginia. Spectacular views, BASE Jumpers, and vendors offering food and crafts.
October 5-6, 2013. Annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival has games, contests, demonstrations, horse and wagon rides, crafts, and live music. Kettle corn and pumpkins for sell and fun for all ages.
