Annual Fall event in uptown Beckley.  Chili competition with 40+ participants, three stages of entertainment, vendors, ride and slide activities for kids and more. October 6, 2012. With your $5 admission you recieve 5 sample tickets and voting coin. Starts at 5pm.

July 30 - August 5, 2012. This week-long state festival showcases historical water and frontier activities. Street fair, parades, fishing tournament, car show, coronation of Queen Mermaid, street dances, bateau boats and rubber ducky race. Downtown Hinton and the Rivers.

August 26-28, 2012. Festival features annual Arts and Crafts Fair, A Taste of Appalachia, Hillbilly Breakfast along with various activities held at area attractions. Visit website for details and schedule.

July 13-15, 2012. Celebrating the legend of the Steel Drivin' Man. This festival includes three days of crafts, music, a parade, car show and many other fun activities. Located in Talcott, WV.

August 10-11, 2012.  All day fun! Food crafts, music, lemonade and more. Bring the family.

40 plus acre light display - Thanksgiving evening through December 31st. Special events vary year to year.

July 20-22, 2012. Join us at the spacious grounds of the YMCA Youth Sports Complex in the mountains of West Virginia for the 2011 Friends of Coal Auto Fair - one of the state's fastest growing car shows. Poor Farm Fest c/o Sunnybrook Stock Farm Inc. Family friendly festival offering scenic views and world-class musicians at a 4 day festival in Williamsburg the geographic center of Greenbrier County. September 6-9, 2012.

October 20, 2012. Every third Saturday in October the New River Gorge Bridge closes to traffic and opens for the largest one day festival in West Virginia. Spectacular views, BASE Jumpers, and vendors offering food and crafts.

November 10-11, 2012. Complete show for all railroad enthusiasts. Family event. Bluefield Youth Center.

September 6-9, 2012. Multi-cultural celebration of music, art, ethnic foods and dance. Camping and workshops.

October 6, 2012. The Bramwell Oktoberfest is known for its excellent live musical entertainment, with traditional folk, bluegrass, blues and alternative artists performing throughout the day. Both home-brew and micro-brew beer competitions.

October 5-6, 2012 in the Bluefield Auditorium. Dinner-Dance. Baked goods, good food, crafts and entertainment.

Held the 2nd weekend in June at Ronceverte Island Park. Entertainment is free all three nights at the amphitheater and the Rubber Ducky race is Saturday afternoon.

September 1-9, 2012. This multi-day, community-wide event offers affordable and fun activities, games, contests and entertainment for children and their families.

September 1-2, 2012. c/o Flannigan-Murrell House Inc. This annual event showcases international, regional and local musicians including homemade instruments. Bluegrass, gospel, folk, rock and R&B musical performances. Located at Hinton City Sidetrack Park and Waterslide. Saturday & Sunday, Labor Day weekend. Free to public.

A weekend of outdoor competition. Lafayette's Challenge, held in historic Fayetteville on Saturday August 4, is 28.5 miles of one of the most extreme whitewater, mountain biking and running on the East Coast. Sunday, August 5, brings family fun to the historic town of Thurmond with the Thurmond Triathlon, a family friendly beginner triathlon.

Carnegie Hall's festival fundraiser, Taste of Our Town (T.O.O.T.), held the second Saturday of October from 11am to 3pm. Sample delicacies from local restaurants, civic clubs and organizations in the historic streets of Lewisburg.

September 21-22, 2012. 20th Annual Grape Stomping Festival at Kirkwood Winery off US 19 on Phillips Run Rd. Third Saturday and Sunday in September - 10 am to 6 pm. Grape eating and grape stomping competitions.

October 6, 2012. "October Sky" author, Homer Hickam & Rocket boys will attend festival. Autographs and book signings, entertainment, food, hayride, games and more. All WV authors invited to attend. Model rocket launching throughout the day! See scenic southern West Virginia at its fall spendor.

July 19-21, 2012. 44th Annual Show - Riders from all over the east coast compete for the coveted blue ribbons.
